Monica Skinner

Monica Skinner is excited to dance with the Party Rockers Tween scene this season.   She has been dancing for local audiences for three years as a member of the 2014 NBA Philadelphia 76ers Junior Teen Dream Team. Since she was four, she has received formal dance training in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, and Musical Theater, African and Hip-Hop classes and currently takes dance classes at the School of Dance Arts located in the West Mount Airy section of Philadelphia.

In addition to dancing, she loves to act.   This year, Monica is happy to be returning to the stage, having previously been seen in 2013 as a major character in the award winning anti-bullying play “Why Can’t We Be Friends” written by Charron Monaye.  At this time she is currently studying for her next stage role in a new and upcoming play by the same author entitled “Momma’s Baby, Daddy’s maybe” opening in 2014.  She attends Teen Acting and Musical Theater classes at the Arden Theater in Philadelphia.

Monica believes that acting and dancing are her passion and she hopes to make her career doing what she loves.
